Dear Power in Nature Coalition Members,
As October comes to a close, we have some important updates to share on California's progress toward 30x30, recent conservation policy decisions, and opportunities to take action.
This month brought some exciting conservation wins, including the approval of new tribally-led Marine Protected Areas, the release of California's latest 30x30 Progress Report, and the signing of legislation to expand equitable outdoor access. At the same time, recent legislative vetoes highlight the work still needed to advance tribal rights and environmental protections.
With Election Day approaching, we're also highlighting Proposition 45, a ballot measure that threatens to weaken environmental protections and public participation in decisions affecting California's lands, waters, wildlife habitat, and communities.
